Five compete for DeKalb County school board District 5

A school board election in southeast DeKalb County has an incumbent appointed by Gov. Nathan Deal defending his seat against the former incumbent who was removed by Deal.

Altogether there are five candidates for the District 5 seat in the May 20 election. It’s a non-partisan race, so this serves as the general election.
