Moving to a new house is never easy, particularly for a family with 10 children.

And a Cobb County family got an additional headache when their SUV crashed into the living room of a house during the move, Channel 2 Action News reported.

The brakes failed on the family’s 2002 Chevrolet Suburban when it was cresting a hill recently in Acworth, Channel 2 reported. The SUV was loaded with children and belongings. However, no one was injured.

“When we first hit the shrubs coming down, I could feel this is not good,” mother Tammy Newsome told the station. “My husband decided maybe we can hit some shrubs, go inside a yard to slow down some.”

A neighbor saw the incident.

“I saw it jump the curb, miss the tree and go right into the living room of the house,” Mike Allen told the station. “Sparks were flying. The car was briefly airborne.”

Another neighbor, Laura Young, helped after the crash.

“I pulled the passenger-side open while I’m calling 911. I opened the back door and the kids starting falling out. So … I’m catching the kids.

“It’s absolutely a miracle no one was killed; still can’t believe it.”
