Six Columbus families became homeowners this weekend with the help of Habitat for Humanity.

Their homes were built by about 150 college students during their spring break holiday earlier this year. The participating students were from Ashland University, Columbus State University, Ethel Walker School, University of Pittsburgh, Sacred Heart University and Washington College.

The families also received Bibles. Executive Director Chris Cason says the families were enthusiastic and dedicated throughout the process.

Friday's dedication marked the completion of 265 houses for the Columbus Habitat for Humanity, which is 25 years old.
