Wide receiver Roddy White (10,863 receiving yards, 63 TDs) is a four-time Pro Bowl selection and the Atlanta Falcons' all-time leading receiver after 11 NFL seasons. White, 34, remains a free agent after Atlanta released him in March. He has not been linked with any prospective teams.

Roddy White, the beloved former Atlanta Falcons receiver, is blasting a DeKalb County police officer's behavior during a traffic stop.

White was pulled over for driving 90 mph with an expired tag on I-285 on Wednesday, Maj. Stephen Fore of the police department told The Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

White said on Twitter he expected to get tickets, but was unnerved by the officer putting his hand on his gun. He said the officer unbuttoned the strap on the holster and approached with a hand on the weapon.

"On his gun like I was going to do something to him," White wrote, saying he intended to report the officer. "It's cops like you that makes this world a very ugly place its a good thing I already had all my information to give him or I could've died."

White, a regular Pro-Bowler who is now a free agent, said he asked why the officer had a hand on the gun. The athlete said the officer replied that it was "police procedure."

White, who was cut in 2015 following 11 seasons with the Falcons, said he wants to report the officer to "save the next black man's life."

The police department hasn't commented on the officer's actions.
