Emory Saint Joseph's Hospital is hosting its third annual Run for Mercy 5K this month, and proceeds from the event will go toward the hospital's Fund of Excellence.

The March 23 event, which will begin at the King and Queen Concourse (4 Concourse Parkway), supports the overall mission of the hospital and provides the funds needed to grow “exceptional care, and introduce new services needed to better serve the community,” according to a recent Emory news release.

Participant prices range between $35 to $40 per individual. All participants can pick up their bibs at 7 a.m. on Saturday, March 23. The Run for Mercy 5K will begin at 8 a.m.

Emory Saint Joseph’s is one of several Georgia hospitals with magnet recognition, an accolade indicating its nursing leaders implement the highest standard of care for patients.

The hospital was also recently recognized among America's top 250 hospitals.
