Early voting for Lake City special election ends this week

The Lake City special election to fill the vacant council seat left by the late Yvonne Kelly will be held June 16 from 7 a.m.-7 p.m. Two candidates, Chris Craven and Lorraine Hoover, qualified for candidacy by the April 3 deadline. Early voting will end June 12, with polls open from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. The voting polls will be located at the Lake City Community Center, 5471 Jonesboro Road, adjacent to the Lake City City Hall.
