Early morning rollover wreck kills one

One person was killed in a predawn rollover wreck on a northwest Atlanta interstate ramp.
Atlanta police Capt. Tim Peek told the Atlanta Journal-Constitution that the motorist was northbound on I-75 at the Moores Mill Road exit shortly before 4 a.m. when “it appears that the vehicle entered the ramp, which is a sharp ramp, but continued straight into the grassy area and struck a tree and a street sign.”
The car, a four-door sedan, overturned and ended up entangled in the sign, which alerts interstate motorists to what services are available at the next exit.
The driver, whose identity had not been established, died at the scene. No other injuries were reported.
Police blocked the two right lanes of I-75 northbound as well as the Moores Mill Road exit while they investigated the crash.
