Duluth to host public meeting about project proposed at The Hooch

Duluth will hold a public information meeting to learn more about the Ashton Woods’ Encore project 6 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 1 in the City Hall Council Chambers, 3167 Main St.

The city is considering approval of a rezoning application for land at The Hooch Golf Center, a par 3 golf course and shooting range, at 2705 Peachtree Industrial Boulevard near the Chattahoochee River.

The proposed project would allow for 465 new residences including 161 townhomes and 304 single-family homes. The currently proposed density is 3.20 units, or homes, per acre.
