Like all Gwinnett cities, Duluth has officially decided how they will spend the one percent Special Purpose Local Option Sales Tax if approved again in November.

According to City Manager James Riker, Duluth has appropriated the upcoming six-year SPLOST funds to be spent in the transportation category for the resurfacing and/or construction of roads, streets and bridges as well as parking facilities.

Of the approximate $6 million that Duluth is expected to receive during this time, 60 percent will go toward transportation. The remaining funds will be used for public safety equipment and recreation facilities.
