Duluth Mayor Nancy Harris will be the guest presenter Tuesday as the Duluth Civitan Club awards more than $5,000 to local charities. Most of the proceeds come from the club's annual sponsorship of the Duluth State of the City address, which was held this year Jan. 25 at the Gwinnett Center.

Beneficiaries include: Driving Magic, Creative Enterprises, Annandale Village and Rainbow Village. Each will receive a check for about $1,400, said Jerry Robb, Duluth Civitan Club president. The meeting is at 11:45 a.m. at the Southeastern Rail Museum.
