Duluth’s next public art installation will come from Duluth-native Kathy Fincher and Atlanta sculptor, Martin Dawe, based on Fincher’s post 9/11 painting “The Dream Keepers.”

Duluth City Manager James Riker briefed the council March 14 on the proposed location of the Dream Keepers Art Sculpture in a planter area adjacent to the city’s paver lot. Due to the size and complexity of the artwork, Pond and Company was recommended to develop certified construction drawings for the installation of the art piece.

The Duluth city council on April 11 accepted a donation of $3,000 from Kathy Fincher to fund the construction drawings.
