Doraville will hold a special election in March to fill the vacant city council seat formerly held by Mayor Donna Pittman.
The District 1 seat represents the northern part of the city, including the Tilly Mill and Winters Chapel areas.
Qualifying for the seat will be from Jan. 23 to 25 at Doraville City Hall. The fee is $252, or 3 percent of the $8,400 council salary.
The election will be held on March 6, 2012, the same date as the presidential primary.
