Dog adoptions at DeKalb County Animal Services’ shelter are completely free this weekend, March 15 to 17.

LifeLine, the organization that manages animal services in Fulton and DeKalb, said in a statement that the shelter is "out of space" and urgently needs homes for 75 dogs.

“We have more animals coming through our doors daily than are leaving with adopters and rescue groups, so we've had to resort to keeping these dogs in temporary crates,” the statement said.

From Friday to Sunday, March 15 to 17, the adoptions are free, including spaying/neutering, vaccines, and microchips.

Usually, dog adoptions cost $85, according to LifeLine’s website.

The DeKalb County Animal Services shelter is located at 3280 Chamblee Dunwoody Road in Chamblee.
