Delta Air Lines delayed 53 flights Sunday morning, and nine flights were canceled, which is considered normal.

Atlanta-based Delta had an overall on-time arrival rate of nearly 86.5 percent in 2016, according to the U.S. Bureau of Transportation Statistics. That means about one out of every seven flights was delayed, based on federal calculations.

The airline canceled about 375 flights Saturday morning in the wake of the snowstorm that hit Atlanta Friday, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution previously reported.

MARTA reported on its Twitter account several delays with bus lines Sunday morning, but those delays are largely due to ice on the roads, which is melting as temperatures rise above freezing, MARTA spokeswoman Staphany Fisher said.

Buses and trains are running on regular Sunday schedule, Fisher said.
