If you notice a lag in your trash pickup next week, it’s likely due to the Martin Luther King Jr. holiday, which is Monday.

DeKalb County will push back services by one day in observance of the holiday.

Here is the revised collection schedule:

Monday, Jan. 21 – Holiday observed. No sanitation collection service.

Tuesday, Jan. 22  Residents whose regularly scheduled collection day is Monday, Jan. 21, will be serviced on Tuesday, Jan. 22. 

Wednesday, Jan. 23  Residents whose regularly scheduled collection day is Tuesday, Jan. 22, will be serviced on Wednesday, Jan. 23.

Thursday, Jan. 24 – Residents whose regularly scheduled collection day is Wednesday, Jan. 23, will be serviced on Thursday, Jan. 24.

Friday, Jan. 25 – Residents whose regularly scheduled collection day is Thursday, Jan. 24, will be serviced on Friday, Jan. 25.

The DeKalb’s sanitation offices, North Transfer Station and the Seminole Road Landfill will also be closed on Monday. They will reopen on Jan. 22 for normal operating hours.
