The Georgia Department of Education released the latest SAT scores for schools and school districts Thursday.
Georgia’s public school students in the class of 2018 outperformed their peers nationally by five points, with a total score of 1054. Reading and writing was 537 and math was 517.
That was for public schools only. The College Board also released the average score for all Georgia students: 1064.

The DeKalb County School District scored an average of 998 — an 18-point increase from last year, according to district officials. Reading and writing averages were 512 and math was 487. More than 3,700 students took the test.
