With school about to let out for winter break in DeKalb, the county is holding a day camp for kids starting next week.

The camp is for children ages 5 to 12 and offers recreational and art activities at several centers around the county.

It runs on weekdays for two weeks, from Dec. 23 to Jan. 3, from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. each day. The program will be closed on Christmas and New Year’s Day.

Families can register for the camp online, or in person at any of these locations:

The camps cost $10 per day. Participants must also bring their own breakfast, lunch and snack.

Families who want more information should contact LaShanda Davis with the county Recreation, Parks and Cultural Affairs division at 404-371-3643 or lsdavis@dekalbcountyga.gov.
