A DeKalb County Jamaican restaurant failed a recent health check with the inspector noting a variety of issues.
Taste of Jamaica, located at 6116 Covington Highway in Lithonia, received a 65/U, according to the report.
The report notes concerns including dried blood in the bottom of a freezer, a toddler present in the kitchen and issues with gourd storage.
The restaurant’s management couldn’t immediately be reached for comment Friday, but an employee said they’re correcting the issues.
Restaurants that fail health inspections are typically rechecked in 10 days.
