A fire at a DeKalb County home early Tuesday left an 87-year-old woman dead.
Firefighters told Channel 2 Action News by the time they arrived, flames were shooting through the home’s roof on Warrior Trail.
After DeKalb County firefighters knocked down the flames, they searched through the rubble and found the victim, identified by neighbors as Ann Young. Young was the only person in the house.
Crews are still working to determine what started the fire, which destroyed much of the two-story home.
