Members of The Great Speckled Bird, an underground newspaper in the region between 1968 and 1976, will give a tour and exhibit of the paper in several upcoming events at the DeKalb History Center.

The paper reached a circulation of 22,000 at its peak, making it the most widely read weekly in Georgia at the time.

The tour and exhibit are $5 for center members and $10 for non-members. Tours will be held Saturday, Oct. 29, Nov. 5 and Nov. 12.
