DeKalb bridge opens earlier than scheduled after damage from crash
River Road Bridge in south DeKalb County will be closed for repairs through Jan. 31.
River Road Bridge in DeKalb County has reopened a week early, the county announced Tuesday.
The bridge in Ellenwood officially reopened Monday. Repairs were required after a traffic accident caused severe damage to the bridge, which passes over Conley Creek.

The repairs began in December 2016 and the crash that caused them occurred earlier that year. The Georgia Department of Transportation determined the repairs were necessary after an inspection.
