North Georgia Running Co. has announced plans for The Cumming Marathon, the Forsyth County city’s first 26.2-mile race.

The event will offer a 26.2-mile marathon, 13.1-mile half-marathon, and 26.2-mile relay Sunday, Nov. 8, according to the race website. A 5K run is planned for Saturday, Nov. 7.

Runners will start and finish at the Cumming Fairgrounds, 235 Castleberry Road. They’ll fan out in multiple directions, touching such landmarks as the Big Creek Greenway on the west and Lake Lanier’s Mary Alice Beach Park on the east.

Entry fees are $85 for the marathon, $65 for the half-marathon, $200 for the relay and $30 for the 5K (prices increase after May 31). Information: https://bit.ly/2IHlfDt
