Playbooks and Pledges, a free football camp and signature drive for Marquel’s Pledge, takes place 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. June 25 at Hallford Stadium, 3789 Memorial College Ave., Clarkston.
The football camp is open to children ages 6-14. Only 150 slots are available and registration is availble online at www.jerryclarkfoundation.org.
In addition, the DeKalb Police Department will take on the Sheriff’s Office in a game of flag football at 4 p.m.
Launched last year, Marquel’s Pledge is a community initiative to raise awareness of the dangers of celebratory gunfire.
