Nov 8, 2012

Fulton County employees face stiff penalties for bullying each other under a policy approved unanimously by the County Commission. Under new rules proposed by Commissioner Bill Edwards, workplace bullying is a fireable offense and punishable by a minimum of five days suspension without pay.

The policy defines bullying as “repeated, health-harming mistreatment,” including verbal abuse, threatening or humiliating conduct, work sabotage or exploiting a psychological or physical disability.
