The Henry County Fire Department has been awarded a $92,600 grant from the Georgia Emergency Management Agency/Homeland Security. Acceptance of the grant was approved Nov. 21 by the Board of Commissioners. The funds will be used for the purchase of approved equipment for the sustainability of the county’s hazardous materials response program, according to county officials.

There is no required local match to receive the grant.
