After realizing her office was under investigation for practicing medicine without a license, a 28-year-old woman moved her business to another metro county, police say.

But now, Kristie Michelle Johnson is behind bars in Douglas County following her arrest Friday by Douglasville police. Johnson, of Winston, is accused of administering Botox, hormone therapy and performing other medical procedures without a license, police said.

Johnson previously ran the Omni Medical office on Ga. 54 in Peachtree City until a complaint prompted an investigation, Lt. Jason Epps with the Peachtree City Police Department told Channel 2 Action News.

“It just looked like any other medical office until we got the complaint," Epps said. "She didn’t have any license to do the procedures that she was doing."

Johnson then shut down her business before investigators tracked her down in Douglas County, Epps said. She now faces six felony charges of practicing medicine without a license and additional charges are expected, according to police.

Anyone who may have received treatments from Johnson is asked to contact Sgt. Gary Meier with Peachtree City Police at 770-487-8866, ext. 1349.
