Gwinnett County police are searching for four suspects who pepper sprayed a cashier after grabbing three just-activated gift cards worth $500 each.
Three women and a man, all wearing scrubs, went to the Walmart Neighborhood Market on Winters Chapel Road in Peachtree Corners on Jan. 11, police say. They “tried to distract” a cashier as she scanned groceries, and asked for three $500 Visa gift cards when it was their turn in line, according to a police release.

After the cashier activated the cards, the male suspect reached over the counter and grabbed them from her, the release said. The suspects ran. When the cashier tried to chase them, a female suspect in pink scrubs sprayed the cashier with pepper spray, the release said.
The suspects fled in a “white passenger car.” If they are apprehended, they will be charged with robbery by sudden snatching and simple assault.
Anyone with information about this case is asked to contact Gwinnett County detectives at 770-513-5300 or Crime Stoppers at 404-577-8477. Crime Stoppers tips may be rewarded with up to $2,000 if they lead to an arrest or indictment.
