Gwinnett County police are searching for a man who allegedly grabbed $14,000 worth of jewelry from a case while an employee was distracted by other customers.
The suspect walked into SR Jewelers at the Gwinnett Place Mall around noon on Dec. 29. The employee at the store was helping three customers and had an obstructed view of one side of the store, according to police. The suspect was able to access a display case and take at least 15 pieces of jewelry which had a total value of more than $14,000.

The suspect was described as a man in his 30s to 40s, between 5 foot 6 inches and 5 foot 8 inches tall and weighing between 160 and 180 pounds. He was wearing a gray beanie with a white design, sunglasses, a black and gray jacket, a pink polo shirt, blue jeans and white shoes at the time of the theft.
Anyone with information about this case is asked to contact Gwinnett County detectives at 770-513-5300 or Crime Stoppers at 404-577-8477. Crime Stoppers tips may be rewarded with up to $2,000 if they lead to an arrest or indictment.
