Update: Joseph Robert Proctor has been arrested in this case. The Chattanooga, Tennessee man was found by a Conyers police officer at a hotel on Oct. 18. Proctor tried to flee, but was apprehended by the officer.
Proctor has multiple warrants for his arrest in jurisdictions in Tennessee, Alabama and Georgia. He is currently being held at Rockdale County Jail.
Original story: A woman was working out at an LA Fitness in Sugar Hill when someone smashed her car window, stole her purse and started using her credit cards at local Walmart stores, a Gwinnett County police report says.
Gwinnett County police are trying to find the man that allegedly took the cards from the woman’s car.

Shortly after the Sept. 26 theft, the cards were used at the Walmart on Lawrenceville-Suwanee Road in Suwanee and the Walmart on Buford Drive in Buford, the police report says. The charges amounted to nearly $1,700, police said.
The suspect is described as a heavyset man between the ages of 25 and 30 with “some facial hair.”
Anyone with information on this case is asked to contact Gwinnett County detectives at 770-513-5300 or Crime Stoppers at 404-577-8477. Crime Stoppers tips may be rewarded with up to $2,000 if they lead to an arrest or indictment.
