Crime Stoppers of Greater Atlanta and Roswell police are searching for a man who they say tried to lure a woman away from a Publix.

The incident occurred May 12 around 8:15 a.m. at the Publix at 885 Woodstock Road. The woman is an employee at the store.

The woman told police the man approached her in the parking lot and asked if she would help him load groceries into his car. The woman told police that as she was walking with the man, he placed his hand on her back. When the woman asked the man to remove his hand, he moved it lower down her back.

The victim then ran away from the man. She told police she believed the man was trying to “lure her away” from the store.

Police describe the suspect as being 6-foot-2 and 180 pounds with brown hair. Police say he has a scar on the left side of his jaw and wears a black ring on his left middle finger.

Anyone with information about the suspect is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 404-577-8477. All callers remain anonymous and are eligible for a cash reward up to $2,000 if their tip helps lead to an arrest.
