Reeves Blankenship allegedly exposed himself to a woman in the Hobby Lobby parking lot off Lawrenceville-Suwannee Road.

A Brookwood High School teacher masturbated in his truck as he asked a woman for directions, according to a newly released police report.

Allen Reeves Blankenship, 24, was arrested on a charge of public indecency on Dec. 5. Blankenship is a special education teacher and assistant football coach at Brookwood. The Gwinnett County Police Department released a supplemental report on the incident to WSB Radio on Dec. 14.

Blankenship was driving his black pickup truck in the parking lot of a Lawrenceville Hobby Lobby when he stopped a woman and asked her for directions to a Walmart, the report says. The woman told Blankenship that he should check his phone for directions, and he told her his phone was broken. The woman then noticed that Blankenship had his genitals exposed and was masturbating, the report says.

The victim went into a nearby Ross Dress for Less store and asked an employee for help. The victim and the employee watched the black truck circle the parking lot a few times before it left the area, and the employee was able to write down the registration number of the truck.

When police found Blankenship, he said he stopped the woman to ask her where to buy fidget spinners. He said he left the parking lot after she suggested he try Walmart, the report says.

Blankenship was left with one officer while another officer picked up the victim. The officer drove the victim past Blankenship and she said he was “definitely” the man who had masturbated in front of her.

Officers attempted to get the Ross employee to do the same, but the employee’s managers threatened to fire her if she did, the report says. Officers also found the Ross employee’s witness statement torn up and could not enter it into evidence.

Officers then arrested Blankenship, who “did not argue or question why he was being charged with public indecency,” the report says.

Blankenship was released from jail that night. Gwinnett County Public Schools said they were aware of Blankenship’s arrest, but could not disclose further information because it was a human resources matter.
