After allegedly hitting and critically injuring a pedestrian as she drove drunk, a Cobb County woman kept driving, according to police.

Davida Kim Anderson, 50, of Smyrna, allegedly drove home late Friday night without stopping to help the man she hit on Pat Mell Road at Favor Road, according to her arrest warrant.

Witnesses helped police track Anderson to her home about two miles away, where she was arrested about an hour and a half later, arrest records showed.

Anderson was charged with hit and run and serious injury by vehicle, both felony charges, and DUI, police said.

“Accused did collide with the victim, a pedestrian, causing his heart to stop along with facial and internal injuries,” Anderson’s arrest warrant states. “The victim was taken to the hospital where he is in critical condition as of the time of this warrant.”

No information was available Wednesday on the condition of the man, whose name was not released.

Toxicology reports are pending on Anderson, but she smelled of alcohol, had bloodshot, glossy eyes, slurred speech and was unsteady on her feet, according to police.

Anderson remained in the Cobb County jail, where she was being held on $10,000 bond, records showed.
