An Atlanta police officer en route to help a fellow officer hit a civilian car in front of City Hall East around 6 p.m. Saturday.
There were no injuries in the collision, according to Eric Schwartz with Atlanta police.
A bicycle officer didn't respond to calls as he was detaining a male suspect at the Chipotle restaurant at 718 Ponce de Leon Avenue, Schwartz said.
A second officer was headed to the restaurant when he collided with a Nissan Altima, driven by Michael Reese of Grant Park.
Reese said he was traveling east on Ponce when he heard a siren.
"I moved out of the way to avoid him and he clipped me," Reese said at the accident scene.
Reese said the patrol car that hit him was traveling east in the westbound line. With traffic headed both ways on the busy street, Reese said he did his best to avoid the accident.
