The Locust Grove City Council voted at its May 4 regular meeting, which was conducted via video conference, to approve a resolution to award the bid for construction services associated with the Tanger Park walking trail project to Magnum Contracting in the amount of $823,472.73. It was the lowest of nine bids received, according to a city staff report, and was recommended for approval by staff in conjunction with Falcon Design, the city’s project manager.

The project includes final grading work, installation of parking and pavement, drainage and utilities in addition to the walking path with attached dog park and playground, according to the resolution.
