The federal appeals court has upheld an Atlanta judge's ruling that bars a plaintiff from filing further lawsuits against The Coca-Cola Co. without prior court approval.

Ajibola Laosebikan, a former employee who said he worked for Coca-Cola about 10 years, has filed several suits against the company, his most recent in 2009. On Thursday, the 11th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals said courts have "the power to enjoin litigants who are abusing the court system by harassing their opponents." Laosebikan, if he wants to pursue further litigation, must submit his complaint for screening before it is filed, the court said.
