A program that allows Cobb County youth to develop their leadership skills is now accepting applications for its upcoming session.
Cobb Youth Leadership is encouraging local students to apply to join its class of 2019-2020. The program, created by Leadership Cobb Alumni Association and Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, allows public, private or home schooled students to learn about the community through hands-on experiences.
Students must complete and submit applications in the spring of their sophomore year. Applications are reviewed by a steering committee, which chooses about 50 students for the class. The program runs throughout a student’s junior year of high school.
Students can visit the Cobb Chamber of Commerce website to complete an application. Submissions are due Friday, April 19.
