The Cobb Community Collaborative will lead Cobb youth in Global Youth Service Day on Saturday in Marietta.
GYSD involves youth in more than 120 countries participating in community service projects. In Cobb, more than 4,500 youth have conducted service projects this year. Several of the youth volunteers will discuss their projects, and Collaborative members will discuss ways to continue youth volunteerism.
The celebration begins at 11 a.m. at the Cobb County Civic Center, 548 South Marietta Parkway in Marietta.
