An Acworth woman was on her way home from visiting her two grandchildren when she unknowingly won half a million dollars.

Melissa Golden bought a winning Fantasy 5 jackpot ticket worth $533,669, according to the Georgia Lottery.

“I saw how big the jackpot was and decided to play,” she told the lotto agency. “I bought two tickets.”

The drawing was Monday.

“I kept screaming, ‘Oh, my gosh!’ ” she remembered.

She said she bought the ticket at the Lakeside Crossing gas station at 6649 Glade Road.

The winning numbers were: 12-18-26-32-35.

Golden, who works for Monitor Manufacturing in Cartersville, said the she plans to use the money on herself and her family — OK, maybe two specific members of her family.

“I’m going to spoil my grandchildren,” she said.
