Early risers and commuters in Cobb are seeing temperatures in the 70s this morning that will rise to the upper 80s to low 90s for sticky heat later today.
“When dewpoints get to the 70s it starts to feel very tropical, very muggy and that’s what we’re starting to feel today,” said Channel 2 meteorologist Karen Minton.
In addition to watching the sky, commuters should also watch their speed today. Georgia is one of several states that will be cracking down on speeders in a national, “Operation Southern Shield,” speed enforcement operation.
The enforcement operation runs through July 22.
