I-20 in Cobb County reopens after multi-vehicle crash

Westbound lanes of I-20 before Thornton Road have reopened following a multi-vehicle accident in Cobb County.

A tractor-trailer and two other vehicles were involved in the crash, which occurred about 12:48 p.m., Cobb police Officer Alicia Chilton said.

Cobb County firefighters had to free one person who was trapped in one of the vehicles, she said. That person was taken to Grady Memorial Hospital for treatment. Another person was taken to WellStar Kennestone Hospital.

No other details were released.
