For Cobb County citizens, two public review meetings will be held on March 4 at the Sewell Mill Library and Cultural Center, 2051 Lower Roswell Road, Marietta.

The first meeting will start at 1:30 p.m. to receive comments on Cobb’s 2019 Consolidated Annual Performance and Evaluation Report.

The CAPER contains statistical and financial statements, narratives and maps describing activities carried out during the program year, according to a Cobb County statement.

Copies of the 2019 CAPER will be available for examination and comment by the public, beginning March 2 at the Cobb County CDBG Program Office and on the website at CobbCounty.org/cdbg.

This report will be submitted to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) around March 31.

Following this meeting, the other public review meeting will be held at 2 p.m. to receive comments on the additional funds of nearly $60,829 that will be awarded to Cobb County by the Georgia Department of Human Services for the Federal Year 2020 Community Services Block Grant (CSBG) fiscal year.

That means the county’s total FY2020 CSBG grant award total will be almost $836,113.

A 30-day public comment period starts March 2 through April 2.

Direct all comments/inquiries to: Cobb County CDBG Program Office, 192 Anderson St., Suite 150, Marietta, GA 30060.
