Cobb cancels outside school activities

Cobb County Schools Wednesday ordered all outside activities held between noon and 6 p.m. to be canceled until further notice. A heat advisory was issued for metro Atlanta as temperatures rose into the upper 90s and combined with high humidity to increase the heat index. Classes begin in Cobb Aug. 15.
