Coast Guard officials are searching for three missing boaters about a mile northeast of Tybee Island, according to multiple reports.

About 6:22 p.m. Tuesday, officials were notified of a situation involving a 47-foot fishing vessel called Miss Debbie, the Savannah Morning News reported.

The Coast Guard station on the island launched a response boat about 7:35 p.m., and a few minutes later it found the Miss Debbie capsized, according to the report.

The boaters were identified as Gary McGowen, Benjamin Dover and Isaac West, according to the newspaper.

Two Coast Guard helicopter crews also are participating in the search, as well as Georgia and South Carolina natural resources officials.
