Clayton and Henry counties are planning teacher job fairs for their school systems later this month to fill open positions.
The two districts have set their job fairs for March 21. Henry’s will be from 9 a.m.– 11:30 a.m. at McDonough High School, 155 Postmaster Drive, in McDonough, while Clayton’s will be from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. at Elite Scholars Academy, 7923 Fielder Road in Jonesboro.
Henry said it is looking for CTAE and K-12 exceptional student education teachers, school psychologists, speech and language pathologists, school counselors and social workers.
Clayton did not specify which teachers were being sought, but said candidates need to bring to the fair a resume, undergraduate transcripts, teaching certification and a certificate of eligibility for those applying from out-of-state or a letter from a college verifying a certification program.
More than 400 candidates attended last year’s fair in Henry, the district said.
“This is a great opportunity for candidates to network with school and district leaders regarding their employment needs,” Henry Schools Chief Human Resources Officer Valerie Suessmith said in a release.
“We routinely attract some of the top teachers and candidates, each seeking to become a part of the Henry County Schools family,” she said.
