Starting this school year, Clayton County Public Schools’ staff and students will gain access to expanded communication, collaboration, and e-learning tools as the district will implement the use of Google’s G Suite for Education. The set of cloud-based tools are accessible on any device with an Internet connection and will also give students unlimited storage capacity for their work.
“When we began discussing the opportunity to provide this platform to our teachers and students we wanted to be sure that it would have the capacity to assist us in moving our school district to the high levels of performance we desire to attain,” said Morcease J. Beasley, superintendent of schools. “
By supplementing classroom instruction, the new platform creates multiple potential uses for teaching, learning, and providing an intelligent workflow to the classroom. For example, students can create writing samples, reports, perform research, and easily share work produced with teachers or fellow students.
