The Clayton County Board of Education has made some changes to the district's 2019-2020 calendar, including a new last day of school.

In the new calendar adopted on Tuesday, classes will end on May 21, 2020, which previously had been a regular instructional day.  March 16, which had been a staff development day, will now become a regular instructional day.

In addition, May 22, which had been the last day of school, now becomes a staff development/post planning day, the district has decided.

The changes will allow graduation ceremonies to take place Thursday through Saturday, May 21-23, 2020, at the Georgia International Convention Center in College Park.
