An exhibit of artifacts and a panel discussion about African-Americans in the Civil War is scheduled for Saturday at Fulton County Central Library, One Margaret Mitchell Square in Atlanta. The event will run from 2-4 p.m.

Participants in the panel discussion on the meaning of the 150th anniversary of the war include Michael Thurmond, former Commissioner of Labor for Georgia; Mike Glenn, retired professional basketball player, author and collector; Edward DuBose, president of the Georgia State Conference NAACP; W. Todd Groce, president of the Georgia Historical Society; Brad Quinlin, Civil War historian and Dr. Lonnie Randolph, president of the South Carolina Conference NAACP.
