The Lilburn City Council voted Monday to accept a Gwinnett County Community Development Block Grant in the amount of $260,565. These federal funds will be used for construction of a 5-foot-wide sidewalk along Hillcrest Road between Burns Road and Indian Trail Road.

The CDBG program is authorized by Title 1 of the Housing and Community Development Act of 1974. It provides annual grants for a wide range of housing, community and economic development projects.
