A nationally recognized personal empowerment safety program will be offered to Johns Creek children in February.

RadKIDS trains children to replace fear, confusion and panic with confidence, personal safety skills and self-esteem. The program includes safety drills and muscle memory exercises to learn home, school and vehicle safety; realistic defense against abduction; good-bad-uncomfortable touch; and physical defense against abduction.

The program consists of five classes Feb. 1, 3, 8, 10 and 15 from 4 p.m. to 5:45 p.m. at the Johns Creek Police Department at 11445 Johns Creek Parkway. The class is for children age 7 to 12, with a $25 application fee.
