Cherokee County launches online summer school registration

Cherokee County this week starts registering for summer school, but with significant changes due to the COVID-19 outbreak: All courses will be online, and only for high school students who need to retake classes not passed during the regular school year, and rising ninth-graders seeking Personal Fitness and Health course credit.

"No other summer schools programs will be offered for any grades," according to a Cherokee County School District announcement. "Extended School Year, Bridge and Title I programs all have been cancelled."

Summer school is scheduled for June 3-23. Credit recovery students can take up to two classes – one from 8 a.m. to noon, and the other from 12:30 to 4:30 p.m. Registration is due by May 22, and payment, by May 29. Information: https://bit.ly/3fgXkK8 (Spanish language: https://bit.ly/3aVCQ6x)
